[Bo shakes her head] I'm not gonna let them make me a monster again. And that's what I'd be if I kept fighting you.

[she sucks in a breath, lifting her chin] But I want one promise: you take what you need from me? You leave Kenzi, Gold, and his girl alone. If the assholes upstairs let me come back, and I find out you hurt any of them? [she smirks] You'll wish I'd sucked you dry.

I promise.

[Dean says it easily and instantly. It isn't exactly true — he might target them, if he needed to or they were easy. But it's an effort versus results situation. If Bo is going to make it difficult, there are other people who are easier to get to that he can use. If one of them had something off the list that he needed and couldn't find elsewhere, then he'd target them, regardless of what Bo has to say on the matter.

He presses the blade against her throat.]

I'll be quick, since you're making this easy.

[yeah, okay, she's not buying it. But fighting him won't change that part. She tells herself that Kenzi is strong, that Gold's got magic. Even if she doesn't come back, they can protect themselves.

They'd better. She huffs, closing her eyes]

Only 'cause when it's over, I'm not gonna be the one who's sorry this time. [she won't blame Dean, she tells herself; she'll just call truce to gang up on the Animus instead]

[She's right, of course, and even Dean knows that, from an objective standpoint. If he gets his soul back, he'll be wrecked emotionally over what he has done. Which is, in part, the reason that he doesn't want it back. Like this, he's free and his head is so much clearer. No guilt, no pain, just existence.
