[The comment is amusing in a distant kind of way, but Dean is too focused on succeeding to even spare more than a thought toward it. He misses his mark again, which might be frustrating if he could feel frustration at all. He can't, however, and so he remains as focused and unemotional as the first time he took a swing at her.
She goes after him and gets pretty close to hitting her mark, but Dean ends up parrying her move with his machete before it's too late. He uses it to shove back at her, hoping to either knock her weapon out of her hand or at least push her back a couple of feet so he has room to work up a good swing again.]
